While no new TARIC update was published today due to the weekend schedule, a previously scheduled trade-defence measure governing imports of Chinese electric robot mowers officially entered into force under Regulation 0142/26.

Coming into force

A scheduled trade-defence measure concerning imports from China took effect today:

  • Electric robot mowers from China: Under Regulation 0142/26, validity provisions took effect for autonomous electric lawn mowers capable of cutting grass without direct human control, classified under TARIC code 8433 11 10 10. The scope covers the mowers whether or not they include secondary equipment necessary for functioning, such as charging stations and boundary navigation equipment.

What to watch

With regular publishing cycles resuming on Monday, customs desks should watch for the immediate administrative follow-through on trade-defence files and preferential documentation pipelines following the previous week's heavy quota adjustments.
